Saturday, January 21st from 11am-1pm - Coloring Club with Copic Markers with
our certified Copic instructor, Gina. You'll learn all kinds of techniques using a variety of shades. Expand upon your knowledge or if you haven't had a chance to use Copics yet, you'll want to take this class and broaden your coloring spectrum!! You'll love the beautiful images you can bring
to life with Copics. Cost: $15

Saturday, January 21st from 2pm-3:30pm - Kid's Club with Lisa. The kids should bring a couple of pictures or so from Christmas with them this month as Lisa will be showing them how to create fabulous 2-page layout showcasing their Christmas memories. This is a great class for kids that are showing an interest in paper crafting as they will learn a lot while having fun and creating a project they can be proud to display!

Tuesday, January 24th at 10am - The Scrap Room Challenge Club. This month's challenge is two-fold - the subject to craft is your car!! It's something you use every day without thinking twice
so surely it deserves a place in the scrapbook! The color scheme to incorporate is turquoise, celery green, candy apple red and white. If you're not familiar with TSRCC, it's a FREE club that meets once a month at the store to share ideas, techniques and laughs!! You simply create a project with the challenge in mind and join us to show your stuff. You are welcome to bring along other things you've made during the month as well if you'd like. It's a lot of fun, so stop
on by on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 10am!!!

Happy New Year!!! I don't make resolutions, but one thing I'm going to work on this year is trying to remember to post class information to this blog!!!!!

So here's the first and it's coming up quick - this Saturday, Jan. 7th, from 2 to 4pm, Sabrina will be here to show us all the cool things you can do with Elizabeth Crafts Glitter, Shimmer Sheets, Sticky Tape, etc. For just $10, you will make the 3 cards pictured here and if you bring your own Copic Markers, Sabrina will show you how to color on the glitter to get some awesome effects (such as those on the other card pictured on it's own). So come on by this Saturday sometime between 2 and 4 - you'll love using these products!!!

Thursday, September 8th from 6:30-8:30pm - Creative Cards with Tracie. Tracie will be doing two classes this month. The first class, on Tuesday, Sept. 6th, is already full. This class has sold out every month so if you have been wanting to catch this class, now is your chance! Perfect for summer photos or thumbnail prints, this microscope slide holder is sure to adorably showcase some of your favorite summer photos! Oh my is all I can say!!! CHA is quite the experience let me tell you - to actually see all the new products before you order is so very helpful!! It all starts shipping very soon so stay tuned for info as the fabulous new paper lines, ribbons, flowers, tools, albums, Tim Holtz products, etc., etc. start to arrive!!! It's gonna be a very fun and crafty fall and winter with all the exciting new product being released!!!!

I'm also going to try and get our Facebook page up and running by next week so I'll be sure to let you know when it's activated.

Classe and Crops for JUNE!!

Saturday, June 11th from 11am-1pm - Coloring Club with Copic Markers with our certified Copic instructor, Gina. You'll learn all kinds of techniques using a particular group of colors and then some (color shade to be announced!). If you haven't had a chance to use Copics yet, you'll want to take this class and broaden your coloring spectrum!! Cost: $15

Tuesday, June 14th from 6:30pm-8:30pm - Creative Cards with Tracie. This month, in our Creative Cards class, we will make a shaped card, a tri-fold card, a card with a cut-out, a tall card and a card with a clever greeting. We'll also learn a tried and true design rule to use in card making. You'll leave with 5 beautiful cards, a two-page handout and loads of ideas to use your own supplies at home! An Update - Finally

Here's an update on some fabulous new product that has arrived this week:
- From My Mind's Eye, their new Fine and Dandy line of double-sided papers, 6x6 paper pads, chipboard albums, fiber, buttons, bling, brads, and several varieties of stickers. There are two designs in this line - Tickled Pink (girl oriented) and True Blue (boy oriented) but both are very versatile.
- From Reminisce, 4 new mini lines that each include 3 designs of double-sided paper, a 12x12 sticker sheet and a page of sticker quotes. The oh-so-cute lines are - Snow Buddies, Space Buddies, Super Heroes and Cutopia.
- From Graphics 45, their brand new, absolutely gorgeous, Once Upon A Springtime line of double-sided paper, die cut tags and die cut frames. This is a must see and I imagine will go quickly so stop by soon!!!
- From Jenni Bowlin Studios, we have 12x12 paper pads in Classic Red & Black and Family Tree lines. We also have those awesome Christmas Bingo Cards both in the mini size and we are the FIRST STORE to have the large size Christmas Bingo Cards in a mix pack of 6 cards!!

Tuesday, Dec. 28th -
The Scrap Room Challenge Club from 10-11am.
Come join us on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. to share layouts completed using the latest challenge. Each person in the club takes a turn choosing the challenge for the next month. It can be a title, technique, use of a particular tool, color combination, or theme---anything goes when it's your turn to pick.
This is a great way to get some good ideas for something you would like to learn or know more about---or just to force you to stretch your scrapbooking skills. We've challenged ourselves with the use of Glimmer Mist, complete this title: "You Make Me....", and this month it was about using transparencies on a layout---just to name a few. The assignment for December is to do a layout that contains a story or meaningful journaling. It's not too late to join. Just show up on the 28th with your layout---or to check us out. We also share other layouts we completed during the month. We're a fun group!
Best of all----this club is FREE!!!

Late Night Crops: Friday, Dec. 10th from 4pm-midnite
$10 includes dinner and a drink plus lots of scrappin' and chattin'! We do need a minimum of 4 people in order to hold a crop so grab a friend or two and join us! If we don't have the minimum number by the Thursday before, we'll have to try it another time.

Monthly Card Exchange!

Sign up by October 1st - for this month, (via email or a phone call - we need both your email address and phone number). I'll contact the participants with the exact #of cards you'll need to make (include envelopes please!) and then drop them by the store by Saturday, October 16th. They'll be available for you to pick up your packet the next week and we'll display one of each design in the store front window until the following month's exchange! The theme for the October exchange is Pumpkins, so sign up and get your pumpkin paper, stamps, die cuts, stickers, etc. out and get the ideas flowing!!

Saturday, Oct. 16th from 11am-1pm - We Are All Colors, a Copic Marker class with our certified Copic instructor, Gina. You'll learn how to shade a wide variety of skin tones and hair color so you can turn your stamped images into works of art! Cost: $15

Thursday, Oct. 21st from 6:30-8:30pm - All Occasion Cards with Jessica. You'll be using Basic Grey's Pyrus line, kraft cardstock and Unity stamps to create some fabulous cards you can use just because, to say hi, etc. Samples are here to see and I'll attach photos next time. $20

Saturday, Oct. 23rd from 11am-1pm - Tips and Techniques with Rina. If you are eager to learn how to spice up your pages, this is a class for you! Rina will show how you can turn simple embellishments into works of art and really add some pizzazz to your page layouts. A photo of the layout you'll be creating is pictured for your convenience! Cost: $20

Saturday, Oct. 23rd from 2-3:30pm - Kid's Club class with Lisa. Our kid's class is for 6-13 year olds to learn some basic tips and techniques as well as have a lot of fun while creating a 2-page layout. This month's theme is Halloween. $7

Saturday, Oct. 30th from 10am-12 noon - Susan's Card Class (featuring a Fall theme). These cards are perfect for this time of the year (especially now that the weather has cooled off some)! Grab a friend for a couple of hours of creativity and comaraderie! Samples are at the register and are fabulous!! $20

The Rules: Please bring your basic class kit (trimmer, scissors, wet and dry adhesive, ruler, pencil, black journaling pen) to each class (Kid's Club being the exception, no need to bring anything unless your child wants to). Certain classes may ask you to bring other supplies if you have them, but we will let you know when you sign up. Please call or email with all your contact information (especially a phone number) to sign up for a class. We do have a 24-hour cancellation policy (if you do not cancel within 24 hours of the class, you are still responsible for the class fee and will receive a kit with instructions to complete the class).

This week is our official MOVING SALE!! Monday thru Friday all merchandise is 30% OFF and on Saturday it is 40% OFF (does not apply to product already discounted). Please come on by and help us reduce the inventory we have to pack - lol!!
